Property Prices in Croatia
Centar Nekretnina is the leading paper for advertising properties in Croatia. They
researched approximately 9,500 property prices and produced a report -
The prices for properties in Zagreb have increased 1.4% compared to last month. The increase of 14.4% compared with July 2006 corresponds to an annual increase of 22.4%
The approximate asking price for a flat in Zagreb in January was 2.002 € per m², and a house in Zagreb and surrounding area was 1.305 Euros.
The prices for properties on the Adriatic and Istria are increasing steadily. Compared with December the prices have increased 2.7%, an increase of 16.1% compared to July 2006. This corresponds to an annual increase of 25.1%.
The prices for flats in Zagreb are different because it depends on which part of Zagreb. The approximate asking price for a flat in January in the north was 14% more, or 16% more than in the west, and also 32% more than the approximate asking price for a flat in Dubrava.
The prices for flats in new Zagreb are 6% less than prices for flats in new west parts. The prices for flats in the city centre are very similar to prices in the north and 18% more than the average price.
The prices for houses is rising, but they are still less than the prices for flats in Zagreb and the surrounding area. The prices for houses are 35% less compared to flats.

The average asking price for properties in Croatia is steadily increasing in January 2007; an increase of 15% compared to July 2006, which corresponds to an annual increase of 23.4%.
The most important property market is in Zagreb, where the asking price for houses and flats/apartments has increased 1.4% compared to December 2006, and 14.4% compared to July 2006. This is an annual increase of 22.4%.
On the Adriatic, the second biggest market, the prices are also increasing.
